Lephalale Masjid Project

Vision for the Masjid:

With the blessings of Allah's (SWT), we have acquired a land for the Masjid and are eager to commence construction. Our vision encompasses not only a place for prayer but also an Islamic Education and Dawah Centre with the following objectives. To provide facilities for the five daily Salah, Taraweeh, and Eid Salaah for both residents and visiting Muslims. To impart and propagate authentic Islamic knowledge through a Madressa, nurturing the children of our town to become exemplary representatives of Islam. c) To build a Whudu Khanna and Gusl Khanna for the community.

Needs of the Community:

Since the commencement of construction of the Medupi Power Station in early 2007, Muslim families, both South African and Foreign Nationals, have relocated to Lephalale in search of employment opportunities. As our community expands, the need for a dedicated place of worship has become increasingly urgent. In response to this need, a group of committed individuals have initiated efforts to transform the vision of a Masjid in this area, into a reality. Currently, the community perform their daily Salah, Taraweeh, and Eid Salaah in a small rented flat, led by an appointed Aalim, whose salary is funded by the Trustees. Unfortunately, this temporary arrangement does not adequately serve our growing community.
